Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married to Mary and worked in the Yorkshire Penny Bank in Bradford before he enlisted in September 1939, initially into the infantry and then the RAF. He trained in South Africa but was killed in a flying accident. He was not found by them on any other Calderdale memorial.
