Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was educated at Heath School in Halifax, where he is also commemorated, and worked for Rootes Motors in Coventry before the war. He enlisted in 1940 , became a POW in Germany after being shot down and was killed by lightning. He is also commemorated on2626 and 29393.
