Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. As he died in 1918 he only appears on the panels at this location. He was a member of the Ripponden Conservative Club for whom he played billiards and he worked in a mill. He was wounded on 29th August 1918 and his mother was called to his bedside: however, as he recovered, he died a few days later of dysentery. He is also commemorated on IWM 2626 and 2634.
