Memorial Details
What type of memorial is it?
How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
One of a pair of similar stained glass windows installed by Lord Derby in the church (see WMR15119 for other window). It is a two light window beneath a cinquefoil bearing a family coat of arms. The left-hand light depicts St Michael the Archangel conquering the Devil in the form of a winged serpent over the inscription 'St Michael', whilst the right-hand light depicts an angel carrying a laurel wreath over the inscription 'Victory'.
A brass plaque bearing the incised inscription runs along the sill beneath the window.
