In May 2017 Denis Kenyon and Chris Stephens (co-founders of the Leicester City, County & Rutland At Risk War Memorials Project) became aware that a stained glass war memorial was listed in an auction due to be held that week. Having arranged a meeting at the auction house on the day before the sale, they explained their concerns to the sympathetic auctioneer, who subsequently informed them that the vendor had withdrawn it from the auction sale; the memorial was then acquired by the Leicester City, County & Rutland At Risk War Memorials Project. Having been transported to its new site in All Saints Church, it has since been cleaned and backlit.

Leicester Evening Evening Mail 23/1/1959, reported on page 5 the recent major refurbishment of the Aylestone & District Working Mens Club, which had cost "well over £7000. It mentioned that the former Billiard Room had been transformed, and that:
"One of the features of the room is undoubtedly the stained-glass window: This depicts the badges of all the British regiments and is thrown into prominence by an outside spotlight The window alone cost the club about £2OO".
