Additional Notes
Additional general notes on the memorial
The window is based on an iconic religious image of the First World War, "The Great Sacrifice" by James Clark. The artist came to Keighley to recreate his 1914 picture on the window, adding elements from The Battle of Arras and the Gallipoli campaign. Believed to be one of only two windows in the world painted by Clark.
