Notes
Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1894. An actor and a member of The Ben Greet Players and F. R. Benson’s dramatic company. Commenced service in November 1914 into the 24th (Service) Battalion Royal Fusiliers, better known as the 2nd Sportsmen’s Battalion. Private. The College's information is that he was killed in action in France, 12th March 1917: CWGC confirm the date but, as they say he is buried in Bude, Cornwall, it seems more likely he died of wounds in England.
