How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
On the west wall to the left of the altar a stained glass window with six panels. The top central panel features an eagle flying over a wreath, inside which is an image of the cairn where the Duke's plane crashed and the memorial cross there. Underneath is a ribbon with the words 'MAY THEY REST IN PEACE'. The two windows flanking this panel each show an RAF ensign pointing away from the wreath.

The lower central panel shows the arms of the Duke below those of his wife, and the inscription at the bottom. The left panel shows a navy insignia above the seak of the Royal Victorian Order, surrounded by a GCVO's chain. The right panel shows the RAF insignia above a Freemason's chain with the masonic compass inside.
