Hornshaw and Fowler provide the details. Unmarried, he had been the organ scholar at Keble College, Oxford but did not complete his music studies before he enlisted in December 1943. He died serving on a landing craft in Normandy and is also commemorated on IWM 2130, 2823 and 2825 as well as the Chatham Naval Memorial.
