Notes
The Roll lists his address as George Street, Fletton. [The Roll misrecords his forenames as 'Reginald Mortern', his Regiment as Northants (omitting his rank, Battalion and regimental number), and states that he was killed in action 'about June 1917'; he was actually Private Reginald Morton Wilcox, and (having formerly served as 23014 in the Northants Regiment) was serving as 33403 in the 1st Bedfordshire Regiment when he was killed in action on 23rd April 1917].

(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
