Notes
The Roll lists his address as 7 Trinity Street. [This Roll mistakenly listed this man, who did not actually die in WW1. He was demobbed in April 1922, having served in France June 1919 to April 1920, with the Graves Exhumation unit. His Army service file records that he went absent without leave in September 1919, and was apprehended by the Military Police at Lille. This appears to be the incident that gave rise to the false belief that he had died, and his inclusion on the Roll].
(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
