The Roll lists his address as 13 Mayor's Walk. It records his forename as Leonard, and his date of death as 12/3/1915; whilst he enlisted and served as 'Leonard', his actual forename was Lemuel (as which he is commemorated on his parents' grave in Broadway Cemetery-see our record WMR 70099), and his official date of death was 14/3/1915.
(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
