Notes
The Roll's entry for "G. Hodson" records his address as 504 Gladstone Street; however, that part of its data for him was evidently inaccurate, as no soldier of that name/address died in WW1. [On the 1911 Census/Electoral Registers 504 Gladstone Street was occupied by a Shropshire native called Henry Hodson and his wife Margaret Ann Snellings. Of Henry's siblings, only one died in WW1, i.e. the Sidney Bert Hodson who is listed on the Peterborough WW1 Roll of Honour as being of 504 Gladstone Street. The Roll was therefore mistaken in recording it as the address of 'G. Hodson'. The regiment/date of death recorded on the Roll for 'G. Hodson' instead match those of Private George William Hudson of Market Deeping, regimental number 26527, who died on 30/10/1917 serving in 7th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers; CWGC record him as the son of Mr and Mrs. William Hudson, of Towngate, Market Deeping, Peterborough].

(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
