The Roll lists his address as St Leonard Street. Having mixed up his service details with those of another casualty on the same page (John Meekes Hall), the Roll wrongly records that Frank W Hardy died on 9/4/1917 as a Sergeant in the 7th Northants, under regimental number 15419. In fact, Frank William Hardy died on 19/10/1918 as Sergeant G/67914 in the 11th Battalion Royal West Surreys, having formerly served in the Northants Regiment under regimental number 18537.
(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
