Notes
The Roll lists his address as 11 St Leonard's Street. It misrecords his surname as Fellows; it was actually Fellowes. Whilst "Soldiers Died in the Great War" and a couple of other unofficial records list his date of death as 1/9/1915, it is recorded by CWGC and on all Army documents (e.g. Medal Rolls and the Regisers of Soldiers' Effects etc) as 9/5/1915; his brother Walter (who is listed on the Roll of Honour) died the same day.

(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
