Notes
The Roll lists him as Corporal Copplestone of the 3rd Worcesters, who was killed in action; it lists no address for him, nor does it list his forename or date of death. [It is near certain that he was the Lance Corporal Frank Copplestone, 5844, who was killed in action 30/8/1915, serving in the 3rd Battalion, Worcesters; he was the only soldier of the surname Copplestone who died serving in that Regiment. His Army service record does not mention any address in Peterborough, but did record his widow Amelia as being a lady's maid in Grantham after the War].

(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
