Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He attended the Heath School in Halifax, and is commemorated there (see IWM 29393). He was married, with two daughters, and before he died he had been evacuated from Dunkirk. He also appears on the St Matthew's C Of E memorial in Northowram (29427) as well as IWM 2689.
