Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Educated at Heath Grammar School (where he is also commemorated on IWM 29393), he worked in the Yorkshire Penny Bank before enlisting in July 1940. He served in Fighter Command, was Commissioned in October 1944 and died in a flying accident in India. He is also listed on IWM 2689.
