According to Angus and Rosemary's Miscellany of Malvern (see References): 'Son of Major Edgar Reid Territorial Force RAMC of 164, St Helens Rd, Swansea. Educated at Wells House, Malvern and Sedbergh Schools. 2nd Bn South Wales Borderers attached to 87th Trench Mortar Battery. Killed 17th August 1917 aged 20 years.'
