The memorial suggests he lived at a house named Windsor. CWGC clarifies his exact rank as 2nd Class, gives his forenames and lists him as dying 24 January 1915 having served on HMS Tiger, his death presumably as a result of action at the battle of Dogger Bank the day before in which Tiger was hit.
