EDucated in Scarborough, at Marlborough College and Trinity Hall, Cambridge, he was a partner in a firm of solicitors and was commissioned in August 1939. hE was captured by the Japanese in Malaya and was killed in a road accident whilst on a working party. He is also commemorated on IWM Memorial 2601 as he was a member of Halifax Golf Club.
