Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married, to May, and had been in the scout troop at this church and then worked as a draughtsman for the Halifax Council Transport Department. He enlisted in 1938 and was attached to the Royal Australian Air Force. His death was reported locally in January 1943.
