Her death certificate records that she died from pthisis pulmonalis (i.e. TB) at her home Emerson Cottage, Brampton. The death was certified by Dr Charles Edward Hicks, for whom she had worked at the VAD Hospital in Huntingdon. Her funeral at St Mary's Church Brampton and interment at Brampton Cemetery were reported in the Hunts Post in November 1921, in a report headed "A War Worker's Death".
