The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records that Corporal Harry Percy Prior, son of William and L Prior, husband of Joan E Prior of Smethwick, was serving in 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry (regimental number 5884410), when he died on 17/7/1943, aged 25. He is buried in grave III.B.16 at Catania War Cemetery in Sicily.
