Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Originally from Bradford, he lived in Brighouse and worked as tailor before he emigrated to Western Australia with his wife and 5 children in 1908. He enlisted in 1914 and was not found to have been named on any other Calderdale memorial by them but he is on the Villiers-Bretonneux Memorial.
