Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Engaged to a Miss Annie Smith, he was a Sunday School Superintendent at Salterlee United Methodists Church before enlisting with the Leeds Rifles in October 1916. He then was transferred, was invalided home with trench feet in December 1917 before returning to his unit and dying. He is also listed on IWM 2689.
