Hornshaw and Fowler provide the details. His father was the organist at St Augustine's Church and he taught at the nearby St Augustine's Primary School and then, for 7 years, in Brighouse. He enlisted in March 1916 but died only days later in the Watergate Fever Hospital following his inoculations.
