The All About Thornton website (see References) states: ‘Richard Nicholson Redman, born in 1895, 2nd son of Walter and Jane Redman of 25 Back High Street. By the 1911 Census the family had moved to Park View, Millbridge, Liversedge, where Richard was in the grocery trade. Private, King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry 7th Bn., #11492. Died 23 August 1916, aged 21. Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France, Pier and Face 11 C and 12 A. '
