The Roll lists his address as 15 North Street. It records his date of death as 25/8/1917, which differs from official records.
(CWGC records that Private H. Yarrow, regimental number 23977, died on 26/8/1917 serving in 11th Battalion of the Suffolk Regiment, and is buried in grave A.11 at Hargicourt Communal Cemetery Extension in France.
Horace Yarrow's birth was registered in Peterborough District in 1894. On the 1901 census he was living with his parents Daniel and Elizabeth in North Street in Peterborough. On the 1911 census he was living with them at 15 North Street, working as a brewery clerk. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects record that he was killed in action on 26/8/1917 and that his father Daniel was his legatee).
