The College website (see references) provides the following additional information: 'Came up in 1906 to read Natural Sciences. BA 1909. Military Service: 2/Lieutenant 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales' Own). Died 2 June 1915 in the Ypres area possibly in the German raid on Hooge Chateau. His Adjutant wrote “he fought and died like a gallant English gentleman.”'
