The College website (see references) provides the following additional information: 'ame up in 1912 to read Physics/Chemistry, but did not graduate. Athletics Blue 1913 (Shot-put), 1914 (Hammer). Military Service: Sub-Lieutenant RNVR, 2nd Howe Battalion, Royal Naval Div. Died 4 June 1915 leading an attack during the 3rd Battle of Krithia, in Gallipoli.'
