Hornshaw and Fowler thought this man was Peter who served with the Guards Machine Gun Regiment and whose parents lived in Pendlebury, Lancashire where he may well be buried but is certainly commemorated. CWGC certainly confirm the existence of this man and show no P or Peter Walsh serving in the Scots Guards as the memorial suggests: this is the only Calderdale memorial this man is listed on.
