Notes
When this 1994 version of the Peterborough Roll of Honour was created, Horace's complicated family background was not realised. Consequently, he was mistakenly listed on it twice: once under the surname Mays, and again under the surname Marston. (See our Names record under H S Mays for further details).
Although both entries are known to actually relate to one man, as the Roll included separate entries for Horace under each of the two different surnames, our record of it has to reflect that; in addition to this Names record under the surname Marston, we therefore have another for him under the surname Mays.
