(CWGC records that Private Ernest Robert Stevenson, regimental number 54740, died aged 18 on 19/10/1918 serving in 1st/8th Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment, and is buried in grave VI.A.12 of Terlincthun British Cemetery at Wimille, France. They record him as the son of Robert Stevenson of Peterborough. His birth was registered as Ernest Robert Stevenson in Peterborough in 1900. On the 1901 census he was living with his parents Robert and Henrietta at 61 Eastgate, Peterborough. On the 1911 census he and his father were lodging at 60 Star Road, Peterborough. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects record that Ernest died of wounds on 19/10/1918, and that his father Robert was his legatee).
