Notes
The Roll lists his address as 30 London Road. It records his regimental number as 17696 and his date of death as 22/6/1917, both of which differ from official records.
(CWGC records that Private Percy William Lincon, regimental number G/7846, died aged 23 on 20/6/1917 serving in 9th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment, and is commemorated on Panel 20 of Ypres Menin Gate Memorial in Belgium. They record him as the son of William and Martha Lincoln of 30 London Road, Peterborough. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects likewise records his regimental number as G/7846 and his date of death as 20/6/1917. The Medal Rolls record that he served only under that regimental number).
