Notes
The Roll lists his address as 46 St Leonard's Street, and that he was entitled to the 1914 Star medal. It wrongly records that he died on 20/9/1914.

(CWGC records that Private G Hasdell, regimental number 7037, died on 22/9/1914 while serving in the 1st Battalion of the Northamptonshire Regiment, and is now buried in grave N.11 at Sissone British Cemetery in France, having been reinterred from Troyon Churchyard after the War. The Medal Rolls likewise record that George died on 22/9/1914 (having disembarked on 27/8/1914), as do the Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects. The latter recorded him as George Henry Hasdell, stating he had been born in Peterborough, had enlisted on 7/7/1903, had died at "Troyes" on 22/9/1914, and that his widow Lucy Ethel was his legatee, claiming for herself and a child).
