(CWGC records that Corporal Albert Farrar, 14360, died aged 28 on 18/10/1915 serving in 1st Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, and is buried in grave I.B.11 at Lapugnoy Military Cemetery in France. They record him as the son of Mr W G Farrar of 401 Gladstone Street, Peterborough. Soldiers Died in the Great War likewise records his surname as Farrar, as does the Probate Index, which recorded his address as 401 Gladstone Street, and that his mother Sarah Ann Farrar (wife of William George) was his executrix. Although Soldiers Died in the Great War recorded his place of birth as Peterborough, his birth was actually registered in Islington in 1887).
