Notes
The Roll lists his address as 343 Lincoln Road, and that he was entitled to the 1914 Star medal. It wrongly records his date of death as 12/3/1915.

(CWGC records that Private Albert Elmer, regimental number 8169, died on 14/3/1915 while serving in 2nd Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, and is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial in France. Soldiers Died in the Great War likewise records that Albert died on 14/3/1915, as do the Medal Rolls. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects record that he was killed in action between 10th and 14th March 1915, and that his father Fredrick William was his legatee).
