Notes
The Roll lists his address as 5 Victoria Place, Old Fletton. It wrongly records his name as "William Cunningham".

(The Roll is referring to John William Cunnington, who was born in Elton in 1888, the son of Samuel and Hannah, and served in the Northamptonshire Regiment as "William Cunnington". CWGC records that Private William Cunnington, regimental number 8085, was serving in the 1st Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment when he died on 10/11/1914, and is commemorated on Ypres Menin Gate Memorial in Belgium. They record no details of his next of kin or address. Soldiers Died in the Great War records that he was born in Elton. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects record that he was killed in action on 10/11/1914, and that his father Samuel claimed his effects. On the 1911 Census he had been living with his parents Samuel and Hannah Cunnington at 5 Victoria Place, Old Fletton).
