The Roll lists his address as 24 Crawthorne Road. It incorrectly records his regimental number as 514584; it was actually 514684.
(CWGC records that Private Alfred Bird, regimental number 514684, was in 1st/14th Battalion London Regiment (London Scottish) when he died aged 31 on 24/11/1917, and that he is commemorated on Panels 11 & 12 of Cambrai Memorial in Louverval, France; they record him as the son of the late John Thomas & Elizabeth Bird, and the husband of the late Nellie Bird).
