Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He worked as a weaver but was also prominent in the local Sunday Schools before he enlisted in January 1916. He is also commemorated on IWM 2224 and on a local gravestone where he is called Greenwood Dawson, Greenwood being his Father's forename which he may have taken as his middle name.
