Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He had emigrated and was living in Vancouver - his parents remaining in Brighouse - and had been a wiredrawer for as firm before he did so. He was married, to Jeannie, and they had a child. He was wounded on 10/11/17 but died of pneumonia in the Western general Hospital a little over a month later. This was the only memorial he is named on in Calderdale.
