Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was not married, worked in Rastrick, was a member of the Brighouse Liberal Club and became one of the many of the regiment, town and region who were lost in the failed attack on the Schwaben redoubt on 3/9/16. This was the only memorial they worked on in Calderdale upon which he was named but he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial: his age was given as both 34 and 35 in the press.
