Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He had moved to Dukinfield in Cheshire before, as a Territorial, he enlisted in August 1914. He was one of the many of the regiment and of Calderdale to be lost in the failed attack on the Schwaben Redoubt on 3/9/16 and was not found to have been commemorated on any other Calderdale memorial they worked on.
