Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. A postman and, in his spare time, a footballer, he was a reservist who was called up in July 1914, dying of Pneumonia aboard HMS Euryalus whilst operating in the Dardanelles. He is also commemorated on IWM 2689 and 2686.
