Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. They recorded that there is some confusion about his fate. He was reported as missing in Gallipoli on 7th August 1915 and then said to be in hospital at some time after the 7th of August. He was then reported to be in a convalescent camp at Mudros but then, finally, posted as Now Presumed Dead. What is certain is that he is also commemorated on IWM 2224 and the Helles Memorial.
