Although they did not directly link him to this memorial in their work this is almost certainly James William, who lived in Shade, and Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He is also commemorated on IWM 2224, 2670 and 26456 and his biographical, service and death details are shown as they found them on the latter.
