He was a weaver, a member of the Old Town Bowling Club and Captain of Pecket Well Cricket Club who had 6 years service as a regular in India and so, as a Reservist, was called up in August 1914. He died at Hill 60 and is also commemorate don IWM 2854, 2711 and 2611.
