Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was originally from Worksop but now worked in Holywell Green. However, as a Territorial, he was called up in August 1914. He had been successfully treated for septic poisoning at York City Infirmary before he died there of double pneumonia. He was buried in the Providence Chapel churchyard and is also commemorated on IWM 2606.
