Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He lived and worked (as a tailor) in Mytholmroyd, down the Calder Valley, where he was a member of the tennis club and played both the piano and organ. He enlisted in October 1914 and initially served as a bandsman. He contracted enteric whilst serving in the Dardanelles and died in hospital. He is also commemorated on IWM 2856, 2260 and, possibly, 596.
